Bubs enters the milk market: Fonterra launches new organic baby milk powder

ACB News, "Australia China Finance Online", May 6, this Monday, baby food manufacturer Bubs (ASX: BUB) announced that it will cooperate with New Zealand dairy processor Fonterra to produce infant formula made from organic grass-fed milk.
The news sent Bubs shares up as much as 22% to A $1.615 in morning trading, before falling back to A $1.57.
Bubs said in the announcement that the new product will be the first Australian-made, certified organic grass-fed infant formula.
Fonterra will supply Bubs with milk powder from organic milk sources in New Zealand. The product will be available in the Australian pharmacy chain Chemist Warehouse within three months and "will be exported to China shortly".
Bubs has always attached great importance to expanding the Chinese market. In today's announcement, it said that the company has become an important company in the infant goat milk powder industry in Australia and has made significant progress in the Chinese market.
Bubs CEO Kristy Carr said that milk formula accounts for nearly 95% of the Australian formula market and represents a significant opportunity for Bubs.
